Enrolled Agent

When it comes to handling your taxes, you want to ensure you’re working with a knowledgeable professional who understands the complexities of tax law. One of the best qualifications a tax preparer can have is Enrolled Agent (EA) status.

The EA is the highest credential the IRS awards. EAs specialize in taxation and must pass a rigorous exam covering all aspects of federal tax law. Additionally, 72 hours of continuing education is required every three years so the EA has an up-to-date understanding of federal tax law.  This means that when you work with an EA, you’re partnering with someone who has a deep and current understanding of the tax code.

EAs have unlimited practice rights before the IRS like attorneys and CPAs. When facing an audit or other issues before the IRS, an EA can represent you before the IRS and help resolve any disputes.

I received my Enrolled Agent credentials in August and am looking forward to helping small businesses with their tax needs.
